Why Creativity Is Key to Finding Your Purpose (Even If You Don’t Feel Creative Yet)
Have you ever found yourself asking, What’s next?
Maybe you’ve simplified your life. You’ve cleared the clutter, slowed down, and made space.
But instead of feeling calm and clear, you’re wondering:
👉 What do I do with all this time?
👉 What’s my purpose now?
You’re not alone.
And here’s the good news—you don’t need to figure it all out at once.
The time and space you’ve created will give you the answers.
For me, those answers came through creativity.
Creativity Takes Courage (But It’s So Worth It)
Henri Matisse once said, “Creativity takes courage.”
And it does.
Not because you need to be an expert, but because it asks you to show up and try.
I picked up my Inktense pencils one day, sat in church during the sermon, and started drawing flowers.
I added water, and the colours came alive on the page.
It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t perfect.
But it made me happy.
And now? It’s a habit I look forward to every week.
Where Can You Make Creativity a Habit?
You don’t need an art studio or hours of free time.
You need a notebook and a pen…
Or coloured pencils and a few minutes…
And you need to give yourself permission to create.
Maybe you doodle while having your morning tea.
Or journal during your commute.
Or sketch while listening to music.
Wherever you start, start small—and keep it simple.
3 Reasons Creativity Will Help You Find Your Purpose
1. Creativity Helps You Live Longer and Healthier
Studies show creative activities reduce stress and improve health outcomes.
Creativity engages your brain, lowers anxiety, and brings joy.
It’s not just a hobby—it’s life-giving.
2. Creativity Helps You Solve Problems Differently
When you create, you train your brain to be more adaptable and open.
You learn to live with uncertainty and flow with the unknown.
And that’s exactly what finding your purpose often requires.
3. Creativity Builds Confidence (Even if You Feel Like a Beginner)
Each time you create, you practice courage.
You stop waiting to be perfect and start showing up as you are.
And every small act of creativity builds your confidence—one doodle, one brushstroke, one journal entry at a time.
Your Next Step: Create Something Today
You don’t have to know where it’s all leading.
You just need to start.
